On behalf of the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), I am pleased to announce the launch of our official website. We have endeavoured to populate the site with current and relevant pieces of information that will be of value to individuals or groups having a particular interest in victims’ issues.

The OVC’s work and purpose is aimed at providing the Attorney General with pertinent advice that has been gleaned from consultation with people harmed by crime and other stakeholders who either hold an expertise or specific interest that relates to victims of crime in Ontario. In so doing, the OVC provides the Minister with a compilation of relevant opinions that may assist him in making the important decisions of the day, and plans for the future.

Our internet site is designed to inform the public of our role and of the manner in which information can be communicated to us, and from us, in order to educate and broaden our collective desire to assist victims of crime and make a better Ontario.

The site will be regularly updated and we optimistically encourage your comments and suggestions.
